We don’t gather 110,000 strong to watch fucking protocol (although Goldie Hawn was cute). What the “protocol says” debate is *ignoring* is “was the call on the field right”.

If the call on the field was wrong and the protocol used to correct it was wrong, that’s arguably bad
It if the call on the field was wrong and they *didn’t* correct it (which is what the “WMU won” crowd wants) that is even worse.

The argument is basically “WMU was aided by a mistake in the officiating. We should let it stand.”
