LSU-Ole Miss Thoughts
1. The Oxford police have added roughly 20 mounted policemen for Saturday. What exactly can a policeman on a horse do that a policeman without one (but with squad cars nearby) cannot? Are the horses supposed to be intimidating? Is there something that I am missing based on the history of cavalry charges?
2. I kinda hope that this turns into a memorable shitshow. Like Ole Miss wins and then he gets decked when the students rush the field. Southern coaches love having their police escorts. This is an occasion when they are actually going to come in handy. LSU-Ole Miss is an underrated rivalry under normal circumstances; in this situation, it is going to be one of the games of the year.
3. Lane Kiffin is a Trump-level narcissist so he is going to LOVE the experience of being the focal point on Saturday, even if he pretends like he's in danger.
4. Lane is also a piece of shit troller so the fact that he listed Sam Leavitt as doubtful on LSU's injury report is just perfect. Just a fucking cartoon villain. I would be shocked if Leavitt has any sort of meaningful injury.
5. LSU did not look great against Louisiana Tech. I know that it was a sandwich game for them but 13-7 late in the third quarter is not good, especially when LT missed an open guy for a TD that would have given them the lead. I kinda wonder whether Ole Miss is just going to run on them.
6. If LSU does lose, then how shitty will Clemson fans feel? And that's independent of the result of Clemson-UNC, which is going to be a real "some fan base is going to come out of this game feeling TERRIBLE" matchup.
