Is how people gloss over the fact that the alleged screwjob resulted in WMU having to defend a play which is a 1 in a 100 play.

Even if you believe it was some gross injustice, how many people thought at the time that UM was given a second that UM would definitely win now. This wasn't Smoker to Duckett in 2001 where the extra second resulted in one more play from the goalline.

Lance Taylor's immediate reaction was pretty telling. He basically said he was shocked how they didn't knock the second hail mary down.

What I keeping coming back to is imagine if the situation was reversed. That is the TV clocked showed :01 second left, but the B1G replay officials ended the game right there. Does anyone think for a minute that the same mob which screamed about the official screw up would have complained that Michigan got screwed because they were deprived of one last play.

Of course not, what we would have heard is yeah maybe UM should have had another play but come it would have been a Hail Mary, and we just saw WMU stop one, the game was basically over.

WMU screwed up the end. Having to defend one more play from 60 yards out is not some outrage.
