It means we won 3 of: Iowa, Penn State, Indiana, @Oregon, @OSU - all ranked ahead of us at the moment - and ran the table otherwise.
The committee ultimately likes money and Michigan in the playoff means eyeballs which means money.

The reason I'm pissed is the possibility of being left out of the CFP at 10-2 because a few loud mouthbreathers in the media convince enough committee members that we're "really" 9-3.
