probably more selfishly as a means to blow off steam, as an act of exasperation about the country we now live in, and as entertainment and a bit of schadenfreude.

We’ve got over 2 years before things can significantly improve for people’s lives. A big win in November can at best stem the current tide. Long time before we all get home.

Carville has been around a long time and is one of few remaining Democratic gurus with his chops. He despises Trump as much as I do and he has the means to vocalize it and does so like the ex-marine he is. He does not mince words.

I post a lot, lot less than I used to during the first Trump reign - political stories from reputibale sources, my options, etc. But, the attitude/direction/deterioration of the country wore me out. I’m now just riding things out with everyone else, but as frustrated as I ever was.

Now, reliable news no longer comes from our historically standard sources. For years the best journalism on US politics has been done over seas, IMO. Our media has become mostly entertainment, a death knell for democracy. I can not and will never be able to normalize Trump. He is not and never was just another politician. I will never treat him or his moronic cult that way.

I don’t know if any of this makes any sense, but there you go.
