I’m on day 8 of symptoms, and just starting to feel like I *might* have turned the corner. I went to the doctor, just assuming I must have some sort of secondary infection based on how painful my throat and ears were. Nope—just the nasty virus.

She tells me “well, to be blunt, you are at the age when people find it takes longer to kick these things than it used to.” Jesus—way to kick a man when he’s down.
