A family owns Taco T. They mostly focus on quick food, lots of drive-thru business. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty good, authentic food. It's just mostly tacos. They have a couple of locations around the NW burbs. One of the sons wanted to try a more sit-down place, so he started Casita. Larger menu, slower stuff. Just amazing food, the mole was incredible. But... it was just doing okay. After a few years, the son had moved and started a family, and wanted to be closer to home. So the mom took over Casita and turned it into a slower paced Taco T. They cut a bunch of things from the menu, but not everything, and the cooks and staff are all still the same. Like the birria tacos, which I would kill for.

We have a couple of young kids so it's actually a pretty good match for us. We go probably 3 out of every 4 Friday nights.

Their margaritas are just okay but their beer is really cold and they have Modelo Negra.
