Sad. Heroin and cocaine. I doubt he was injecting, probably had some mixed up in his coke. The kratom pills he had in his car didn't kill him, it's extremely hard to OD on kraton plant matter, like you gotta eat a lot of the fucking shit and it tastes awful, even in pill form your body wants to reject the plant matter it's so alkaloid.

it is not a harmless drug, none are, it's not what killed him but it certainly contributed to his overall usage.

that aside, what an awful fucking tragedy. we say to check in on people, but sometimes whatever they are facing is just too much, including substance usage. I saw he tore his achilles a couple years prior to his death, I would bet that's how he picked up the opioid habit.
