Former President Barack Obama sat down for a discussion on artificial intelligence and civic engagement in democracy at an event hosted by Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. He warned that AI with no safeguards can pose a dangerous threat to society. "We're now hitting the hockey stick trajectory, where the models are going to get smarter and smarter and better and better at a much faster pace, at an exponential pace," he said.
