I don't actually have any dirt on this. Mostly, this guy seems like something of an idiot. It'd be one thing if he made a big dramatic moment refusing an illegal order. I'm sure the design of what he did was to get attention, based on doing it in a staged, dramatic way, but, then what? He just wants to be a martyr? But no CinC is going to tolerate THAT, nor should they, completely apart from whether he's right. And I expect some victims of the current administration to be made whole, or attempts thereof, but I don't see this clown getting a pardon.

And more specifically, the fact that it wasn't even tied to a plausibly justifiable action (ie refusing an order) means that it isn't even going to inspire anyone else. Even people otherwise sympathetic generally are just like, wtf was this guy thinking?
