The Victors

1. Hadjar returned so Lawson is back at Racing Bulls.
2. Not such a great day for Lawson though, as a very slow Hamilton was impeding him at the end of P1. Hamilton claimed he got into the S curves and he lost a lot of electric power but this is the second weekend he had been catching a lot of flack for impeding other drivers with super slow speeds.
3. Great day for George as he smoked both FP1 and FP2. Meaningless in that it is just practice but based on what was seen in practice, both Mercedes were fast on this circuit and Max is not that far behind. McLaren did not have a good day as they were struggling to implement all of their body upgrades. They denied that the upgrades failed, but they stated they are still working out a few issues with them.
4. Ocon drove well, especially considering it was basically announced that he is out at Haas next year and young Ferrari academy driver Rafael Camara is in. The young Argentine is currently second in F2 and Ferrari believes they have their own Antonelli.
5. Antonelli is the youngest driver to secure 8 wins.
6. As stated in a prior update, Max and Lando will both race in next years 24 hours of Lemans in addition to racing F1 next year. Lando sought and was granted permission from McLaren and Max has had permission and previously driven the race as has Hulkenberg who was once on a Lemans winning team.
7. There is definitely some things not going well at Ferrari. Hamilton was furious in the last race when LeClerc took him out, but later admitted that he expected Charles to be aggressive no mater what the team tells him.
8. Word is that Hamilton is the one behind the scenes pushing to have Vasseur removed as Principal at Ferrari. His removal at the end of the season seems to be likely given the disappointment this year. they had 2 or 3 strong races, but they just aren't competitive enough and Kimi is well on his way to the title. Interesting in that it was his friendship with Vasseur that brought Hamilton to Ferrari, but Hamilton has lost faith in Vasseur and is pushing for a change.
9. LeClerc certainly isn't the biggest fan either.
