Basically a team a little above or below .500 but then bottomed out for 1 year in 1979. Then in 80-83 9-7, 8-8, 4-5, 9-7.

So from 1970-83, they were 96-102, very .500ish. But of course 94-88 in the years other than 1979. I remember the 79 season. It was an unexpected disaster but they did get Billy Sims out of it.

Mid to late 80s were bad.

90s had 6 playoff appearances.

I mentioned the horrid 2001-08 run. But they have been much more up and down lately. Promising under Schwartz and Caldwell with Stafford at times, then abysmal with Fat Patricia. Then good again with Campbell.
