My first real boss in LA was a Wisconsin transplant, and he pronounced it "kess-uh-dill-uh", even after repeated attempts by the waiters (and me) to pronounce the word correctly. He was a gorgeous guy, had done a bunch of male modeling when he first moved out there...

... which he pretended to be embarrassed by, but clearly loved it when someone brought it up to tease him. I forget exactly but there were some fancy brands he did work for.
He ate like a horse! He would order an entire kess-uh-dill-uh for himself for an appetizer, and then an entire other meal. I think he thought I was kind of a pussy when I'd bring back half a sandwich to the office.
He was basically stereotypical LA Guy - and yet, he was a great guy, and a great mentor. He wasn't a financial genius (I thought at first that 90% of his success was from being tall), but he knew his shit, and he taught me a lot about business and life.
He took a lot of care in my career development and gave me opportunities when I was ready (of course a few times they were overdue, in my estimation, haha). That was a hell of a first job, and first boss. I got lucky with that one.
