US models slowing down intentionally is suicide.

E.g: The newer AI models are incredibly "spiky". i.e. they show AGI in certain fields and in some other fields, they are pretty bad. Two such fields where they are already really good are cybersecurity and math. US cannot lose pace in either of these.
