The run game and situational play calling have been atrocious. Difficult to overstate how bad, in comparison to expectations. On the other hand, Bryce and the receivers are looking great, the defense has been good minus the dumb shit and Hill’s three man rushes on the last drive (which can probably just be grouped with the dumb shit). This loss would have gutted me ten years ago. Now, I don’t know. It’s also harder for me to get too upset about this with all the monumentally fucked up shit going on in this country and around the world. We are in a bad fucking way as a country, and there’s little evidence to suggest that it’s going to get anything other than worse. In the meantime, I love Michigan. This shit brings me joy in a way that only a few things do anymore. So fuck it, I’m sticking with it. Societal collapse through Friday, Minnesota at noon eastern on Saturday.
