I'll give him a chance to clean up the dumb mistakes, to learn (with Beck) that you can't just like up beef on beef and run over 9 men in the box in the B10. There's every chance we keep improving and are a pretty good team by the end of the year.

But our coach may be a total dinosaur, and we'll have to spend the next 3-5 years watching him and his staff make suboptimal decisions, coaching not to lose, coaching with fear, wasting our best talent - like they did today. And I'm not happy about that.

But let's see. We're going to get a lot more evidence no matter what, so let's see what Whitt and his staff do with it. Lloyd was incapable of learning from previous mistakes, even when the lesson was so obvious and the repercussions so painful. That doesn't mean Whitt can't learn. Ok, you've been punched in the face with one of the worst coaching losses in UM history - now what?
