Verlander's farewell game today was magical (m)

Just got caught up on the condensed game. It wasn't vintage JV, but when his daughter ran out to him when he got the final hook, it got a bit dusty around here.

And then Valencia hit the walk-off. The same guy who toiled in the minors for years, then hit a HR in his first MLB at-bat.

Small positive blip relative to everything else today, but still...
