One of my nephews has a speech impediment that causes him to speak with an English accent.

When he was 3 years old, my sister thought he would eventually grow out of it, but it never went away. He's now 7 and still talks that way. My sister said he's been in speech therapy for 3 years to address it, but hopefully that will help.

I'm not sure if it's related, but he watched a show called Peppa Pig when he was young. Apparently this has caused other American children to talk like this.
