if you have the means and the space, I will always suggest a gaming PC over a console. It sucks that component prices are so fucked up and scarce because a steam box would probably be just what you are looking for, but they are impossible to find currently.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 2 comes out this month. Just saying.
