I am glad people are studying it, but his claims are outlandish.

I guess I should qualify that I haven't personally been involved in the research, but I know plenty of people that are and I have read most of the research in the area. It was a particular interest of mine in undergrad and medical school. While I have not carried it forward beyond that, I follow it with moderate professional interest.
