…that the B10 schedule model is incredibly fucked up. If there were something remotely close to parity in the scheduling, then I really wouldn’t care that ours is a little tougher. I love seeing meaningful games against good opponents, and to be honest, large stretches of the ‘23 season were actually a little boring because of the lack of tough opponents. (Not that I minded winning the NC, of course.)
I know that no one anticipated Indiana being defending national champion when these schedules were created, but even if Indiana were average, the disparity between our B10 schedule and PSU’s would still be ridiculous. They also don’t play either OSU or Oregon, and those two were perfectly predictable as being in the top tier of the conference.
