He's out of the house most of the time, not just sitting around playing video games - though that always seemed to be a pretty social activity too, playing and talking with his friends.

But even posting on a board with what I would consider to be some extremely good friends that I've never met (and Bates), I'm a big believer in people getting together in physical human form. I'm worried about that generation, especially with the number Covid did on them.

I'm not saying they're "worse", just that they need to get together. In person. And touch, and laugh, and see people's faces, and eyes, and fuck. And possibly drink, if they're too socially damaged to get together with each other otherwise.

I'm sure college will help boost things forward, I'm not about to bet against human nature - animal nature - life nature. Sis tells me they have nowhere to go, so they'll hang out in parking lots. Ok, that works! There might not be a sock hop or Big Al's, but they're getting together. Maybe even raising a little hell. I know I have the luxury of it not being my kid, but I feel like that gives me the freedom to root for the more, like, well roundedness of an otherwise fucking great kid.
