Sicko drifters snatch pricey heirlooms from mausoleum niches — in spree stretching across the US

A trio of tomb raiders have crisscrossed the country robbing cemetery mausoleums — including lavish keepsake heirlooms sealed inside their niches, police said. The suspected thieves — originally from Indianapolis — are wanted in Florida where they’ve made 20 successful scores alone, though their ransacking spree has stretched from Texas to Buffalo.
“Imagine losing your wife or husband and placing their wedding ring, and yours, in the niche – only to have them stolen by thieves looking for an easy payday,” wrote the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in a statement on Facebook Wednesday. “Please check your loved one’s resting place to make sure your prized heirlooms are safe.”
Drake Lee Milam, 33, his girlfriend Porsche Bancroft, 32, and her mother Angela Garrett, 52, are now the subjects of Florida warrants for the brazen robberies. More than $35,000 was stolen in the Sunshine State thefts, the sheriff’s office told The Independent in a statement.
“What a horrible person you are if you decide to steal from the dead,” Corp. Cole Brazee said in a video post Wednesday. “Their loved ones will leave some jewelry that meant something to them in that niche with their remains.”
The Central Florida Crimeline is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Individuals with information about the tomb-robbing trio can contact 800-423-TIPS (8477).
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
