Ilitch to block signing Stamkos & Mantha?

To be honest, both of those would’ve been really bad signings. Ilitch wasn’t wrong to block them, imo. Means Yzerman was at least 5-6 years behind the rest of the league.

Obviously of course this Red Wings franchise is a feeble imitation of the pre-cap, 9 HOFers on a single team Red Wings.
