The AL playoff bracket this year is a total joke - baseball really needs to ditch divisions

There is no justification for having division anymore when the schedule is balanced. Everyone is playing the same schedule basically.
Have an AL and NL, and seed the teams 1-6 by record.
The AL this year is going to have the biggest joke of a playoff bracket we've seen. Literally, the top 3 teams by far are on side of the bracket. The 3 v 6 series is likely to have the two worst records of all 12 playoff teams, the reward for winning that series is likely a matchup against the 10th best team of the playoffs.
There are some other things baseball could do to improve the value of the regular season (give the 1 seed all home games in the division series, and 5 of 7 in the LCS), but they need to ditch the divisions.
Right now, we have a real possibility of some team like the 79-83 Orioles ending up in the ALCS.
