The Victors

I haven’t posted much except about a few Utah-centric things in the past. I have lurked since Peegs and dial-up-modem days and posted first in 2002 when Utah first played Michigan in Ann Arbor in one of the hottest, most boring games ever with twin-style immobile QBs John Navarre and Lance Rice. Before that, I remember telling my kids when they asked me who I would root for if Utah ever played Michigan, “don’t worry- that will never happen.” Until it did. Those were the days when the Utes struggled mightily. I’m a bit chagrined now that the Utes’ record is 3-1 in the series, as my undergrad and childhood rooting interest in Michigan overpowers my Utah grad school loyalty. My Utah-educated wife, however, likes to lord it over me. For the last decade, I have held a political job where I was not able to monitor the board all day nor post on political topics ( although my views are consistent with the majority here- blue dot, red state kind of thing). Now that’s over and I should be able to be more active. I love this community, and the camaraderie it has developed through the decades, periodic squabbles and
troll posters aside. Thank you, Nikos for being the board savior! I discovered one of your Easter eggs of the maize and blue variety. Thanks also to the rest of you. Even though I could read the new board, somehow it was driving me crazy when I knew I couldn’t post. Thanks to whoever emailed me the login information. Go Blue!
