Adding ND and WMU

Posted on August 31, 2026 at 05:17:07 PM by Rich

1995 Virginia (8-26-95)
High Temp 89
Dew Points between 60-65 during the game

1983 Washington State (9-10-83)
High Temp 94
Dew Points between 65-70 during the game

1999 Notre Dame (9-4-99)
High Temp 89
Dew Points between 55-60 during the game

2011 Western Michigan (9-3-11)
High Temp 96 or 97 (two sources)
Dew Points between 65-70

Based on this WMU and WSU were the worst. WMU by a couple degrees on temp. Don't have exact dew point. OTOH, WMU was only a 2.9 quarter game iirc, which mitigated the discomfort. So I will stick with Wash State as the worst. Virginia and ND were both blazing hot but with less humidity.

One that doesn't get mention is SMU 2018:
High temp 88
Dew Points between 65-70

My ranking of hottest/worst:
1) Wash State 1983
2) WMU 2011
3) SMU 2018
4) Virginia 1995
5) ND 1999

Others?
