back story on Rona

I had a friend who was trying to make and distribute caramelized onions in a jar. they were really good. So was living in LA and I was in Maine. He flew me out to LA so I could go work the fancy food show in San Francisco. I had an extensive retail background and had worked a few trade shows over the year for some of my reps to help out.
We flew in a private jet from LA to SF with Tim Allen's ex wife. It was one of the Disney Jets. My friend had directed Home Improvement and basically got custody of tim's ex when they divorced. My friend, who Ed Cohen met in Chicago when we did a food show there, was dubbed the onion king by ed.
So we private jet to Sonoma because Tim's ex (Laura) wanted to drive race carts a Laguna Seca, which we did, and we also had dinner at the french laundry. Withnail met me at the fancy food show in SF and we walked the show. The same company my friend was using was also doing food stuff for Rona Barrett, who we met. She liked withnail. I also met Jimmy Connors and his wife Patti, and Bob Weir because they were all using the same food guy to make their food stuff.
The 0nion King, btw, is how I met Sheri Donovan. Before he moved to LA he was on air at Wheelz with Ken Calvert in the afternoon, which was the shift after Sheri. The first year I was living in Maine he invited me back to Detroit for christmas, and when I was there we went to some WLLZ party and i met Sheri. I came back to town if Feb that year for a few weeks. He saw her every day at the station, told he I was coming back to town for a few weeks, and she said 'have him call me'. so I did.
