my guy remained friends with Laura. Laura picked up a kid in Harbor Springs who was in his mid 20's - she was at his parents marina on a boat. His parents owned Waldstrom Marina,iirc lHe was a tall good looking kid. I think she was in her 40's then. We called him the pool boy. She got half of Home Improvement and the Santa Clause, and still had use of one of Disney's private jets. I had never flown on one. She knew me from Detroit when I used to hang there with my buddy and Tim. My buddy directed training videos in Detroit for the big three, and he hired Tim for a shoot when Tim was a working comic, before he made it big. My buddy directed his showtime special that got Tim the home improvement gig. When i came to Detroit my buddy would ask Laura if he could bring me over to their place when they had a party, and she would say 'only if he behaves himself'. so , she knew me.
when we got on the jet I thanked her, and she said 'friends don't let friends use public transportation''
i have a great tim allen story from the showtime debut party they had in detroit. I think it was in walled or orchard lake at a big estate. But I won't post if because illicit substances were involved.
