But it was because he read every situation instantly and correctly and always made the right decision, even under pressure. Especially under pressure!

Guys like him, Brady, Peyton, they welcomed blitzes*. And those latter 2 couldn't run for shit - they just knew they'd be able to find the right play within 2 seconds of getting the ball.

*Now constant front 4 pressure could still get to them, or anyone, as with the two Giants superbowls. Ain't no remedy for that.
