It would be one thing if the clock operator had naturally stopped the clock on the play before and it was a millisecond from 8. But the fact that the official asked for the clock to be set at 9 should mean a full 9 seconds. So the clock on the screen shouldn't already be down to 8 before it even touches Bryce's hands.

- Good point, they they say reset to 9 seconds does that mean 9.9 or 9.0. Basketball has and clarifies the decimal (please don’t bring that replay hysteria to football). *
