It's the game that makes sense if BU gets the hook during or after the Oklahoma game. I suspect the coaching staff would only want to start Carr in a home game. Starting out against the Hawkeyes would be much less likely.
I haven't been optimistic about Underwood since the spring game. He just couldn't operate against a very basic defense. And yes, he has a dedicated QB coach, he spends countless hours in film study, etc. But the footwork, the instincts--all of it seemed off or at best erratic.
I hope for the best for him. That first offensive drive (probably scripted) looked great. I would love to see more of that. But again, just not optimistic about him.
At least he's sitting on a fat NIL deal, so there'll be millions in the bank if he does flame out. Hope he has a good financial advisor.
