I was watching the CU fifth down game on TV (I had moved to Colorado a few weeks earlier) and I remember distinctly yelling that's a fifth down, what the hell are the refs thinking?

I mean that was a million times worse than the end of Saturday's game, and it resulted in CU winning the NC!!! As opposed to a Michigan team that

(a) Actually did win the game per the properly enforced rules; and

(b) Isn't winning anything, except maybe the Lower Peninsula Darby.
