the LHC would find the new super symmetry particles and that would be that, the only thing left would be to figure out the math.

Never happened of course and with dark energy, dark matter, accelerating expansion (cosmological constant) and other discoveries in cosmology we're further than ever from a unified field theory of the universe.

I expect that taking AI from pattern recognition and natural language and coding applications into self improvement will be more challenging than our tech priests are predicting.

Will it be powerful? Sure. Will it end the world? I seriously doubt it.
