The LHC enabled physics to confirm the Higgs Boson. The discovery that elementary particles have mass conferred upon them by the Higgs field COULD be contextualized as just confirming the standard model (it’s not an untrue statement), but that’s a minimization of a frankly staggering discovery.

I do get your point, but I’m respectfully unsure it’s persuasively expressed here.
