Such as, if you transfer you have to give some money back? Or if you lose your starting job the deal can be terminated at least for future seasons? I have no idea how these things are structured, but obviously these are considerations when you're talking about a starting QB with a giant pay package. More straightforwardly, benching BU makes it much more likely he'll transfer, but not if he has guaranteed money here that he won't be able to get elsewhere if his stock collapses.
