The memo states: "The official time for all college football games is the time displayed on the in-stadium game clock. When a replay review requires time to be restored or otherwise adjusted, the replay official's decision will be based on the embedded game clock contained within the program feed. If the broadcaster is unable to provide an embedded game clock, the replay official will use the game-clock graphic displayed as part of the broadcast feed. This timing protocol should be followed consistently at all institutions and game sites.”

So the stadium clock is official, and if they need to adjust the clock on replay they should use the program feed, or of that is not available for some reason than they use the broadcast feed. In googling the difference is it sounds like what we all saw on NBC is the broadcast feed, but I’m not sure what the replay team looked at for our game was the program feed. All the articles on the memo say we wouldn’t have gotten another play under this memo but they state it as fact without explaining why, and it’s not at all clear to me that it’s true.

  - The Replay used was "the program feed" - you can hear one ref ask "and this is the program feed?" (or something to that effect).
