The 1993 Mets won only 59 games while their Pythagorean record was 73 wins

That's the biggest historical differential, but obviously as a practical matter it's a lot worse to win only 78 when you should win 90 than it is to win only 59 when you should win 73, since a 73-89 team is still way out of contention.
