Senator Moody's amendment to nullify the anti-conference realignment provision for current P4 programs makes sense politically for her (she's a Florida Senator and that amendment is responsive to FSU and Miami's concerns), but if that were to pass it would seem to undermine Cantwell's express rationale for the bill. And if the Moody amendment doesn't pass, why would senators from Florida or the Carolinas support the final bill? Clemson and UNC also don't want to be stuck in the ACC.
