We had 6 drives
3 did the most they could: 2 long TD drives and a FG when we got the ball with 29 seconds and no TOs. Those are maxed out
1 ended on the first play with a Hiter fumble. That’s 100% on Hiter.
1 was a long good looking drive that ended with a BU fumble. That’s on BU
1 was a 3 and out
Our success rate was 60%
There was no pattern of getting stalled because of bad decisions by BU. He made 1 (big) mistake.
There was no pattern of getting stalled because of dumb play calls. We got stopped (not a fumble) 1 time.
The offense didn’t deliver but it was very clearly because of penalties (2 bad ones on O) and fumbles, not bad QB play, not bad play-calling, not bad philosophy …

I really think the coaches had a script of sorts and the game went according to the script. First half, try run reps despite the defense. Second half, get to a lead and give reps to Tommy (that's why Lloyd was there). the fumbles made it a bit frustrating*

it was really sloppy at times with bad breakdowns on d and o. i'd blame whitt, it was a great 2nd half but coming out that flat, when wmu already happened

I forget who I responded to yesterday, but I didn't really notice much of a difference in play calling 1st half to 2nd. I did notice the penalties finally ended and the run game started clicking.
