I think the need for blame centered around our inability to run the football...so who is to blame?....

without a clear answer....
The O line? The one that returned so many previously good players?
The scheme? The one developed by the coaches who had such highly rated running games the last two years?
The running backs? The ones many were saying were the best tandem in college football?

Iโll dispute the claim that *anyone* needs to shoulder the blame for a bad first half

I really think the coaches had a script of sorts and the game went according to the script. First half, try run reps despite the defense. Second half, get to a lead and give reps to Tommy (that's why Lloyd was there). the fumbles made it a bit frustrating*

it was really sloppy at times with bad breakdowns on d and o. i'd blame whitt, it was a great 2nd half but coming out that flat, when wmu already happened

I forget who I responded to yesterday, but I didn't really notice much of a difference in play calling 1st half to 2nd. I did notice the penalties finally ended and the run game started clicking.
