We have the personnel to have a good running offense as evidenced by how these players performed last year. Beck can coach a good running offense as evidenced by his track record. The fact that we don't have a good running offense is clearly the result of crossed signals between the players and the coach. Beck and the staff are not doing a good job of implementing the system with this talent. This is far more plausible than "Beck suddenly got scouted." It's also not a permanent failure. There is plenty of time in the season for the coach and players to get on the same page.
