Under Beckâs leadership and with quarterback Devon Dampier, the Lobos scored 33.5 points per game and ranked No. 4 nationally in total offense with 484.2 yards per game in 2024.â

Were we sold a bill of goods on Beck?
- Respectfully, Rich, is this personal somehow? Like do you know something about him that DOES suck?
- His resume as a QB coach is very strong. As an OC itâs very short but promising. A lot of the offseason analysis had zero caution though*
- Whatâs impressive is he had really good offensesâespecially rushing offensesâfor the last two years, and heâs only been an OC for three years (donât know how things went at Syracuse in â23). So yeah, the rhino and all the side to side shit hasnât worked so far, and it sounds like theyâre adjusting.

The real question of course is Jason Beck the best OC Whitt could find or is he the best Mormon OC he could find?**
- Mightâve been one & the same given the timing of his hiring & being at Utah for 20 years. Having an insular network coming into the job is understandable, but after 1-2 years as Michigan HC it isnât. His 2nd round of staff hires the next few seasons will tell us a lot.*
- Is Whitt trying to win football games or is he trying to elevate the profile of mormon coaches?*
