Not at all. Omegas are excellent watches. My main issue with Seamasters is they are too thick. I've tried a 14 mm Tudor Pelagos in the past and it wears too bulky for me. I also don't care much for the hour hand shape on Seamasters, but that's just my personal preference.

Traditional quartz watches suck for a few reasons, but mainly because you have to change a battery. There's something pure about an analog mechanical watch powered by winding or your natural arm movements. They do have hybrid solar quartz watches now that are pretty cool. The dial absorbs sunlight to power the battery so replacing it isn't a maintenance issue. I'd consider one of those. Even old school wind every day watches are great, like the Speedmaster. Part of the joy of having a nice watch is to turn the crown and hear the winding gears click. Having to do that regularly is not an issue if you like the watch.
