I strongly endorse this Franklin Foer article about how one of Bibi's selling points was that he grew up in the US and therefore understands the country and would be able to strengthen US-Israeli relations. Instead, by committing himself fully to the GOP and stacking his cabinet with the most odious people in Israeli politics, he has done the opposite. Of course, his other selling point was "I keep Israel safe" and that went away on 10/7, a security fiasco on which Bibi has steadfastly refused any sort of inquiry. I am hoping that he gets tagged for this failure in the coming election but Israeli politics are complicated.
