watch advice - i bought a used omega watch on ebay for a little over 2k and authenticator noticed its date dial doesnt change at midnight. Defect was not in listing and seller says he hadnt noticed. He's offering 120. I can either walk away, counter, or accept. How should I play it?

AI is saying I payed on the high side for a good condition version of this watch, but a walk through ebay suggests it'd be hard to find another one at the price. I honestly dont realy care about having to manually set the date but I expect I can probably get more off. A repair would cost multiple times his suggested 120.

Is it a watch you will wear every day? Or will you go a few days between wearings? If the latter, you're going to have to wind it and set the time anyway. If you can get the dude to knock $500 off, I'd keep it and not even fix the date complication*
