And I will acknowledge that you probably didn't mean it this way. But this just sort of reeks of the "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" mantra fed to the masses by the wealthy in this country, while they systematically dismantle the very systems and programs that provided them the opportunities they (or more likely their parents) capitalized on. All in the pursuit of making even more money.
Lets gut the federal student loan program, get rid of headstart, Invest in real estate investment trusts that buy up all the housing using preferential lending rates from the Gov then raise all of the rents. It goes on and on. Let's complain about FEMA funds going to the poor like new orlenas or New Jersey, while the rich apply to rebuild their Beach house built in a hurricane zone for the 5th time in 30 years.
But god forbid someone complains about it, or organizes to do something about it (e.g. unions). Or run on affordability and health care for people. Then you are a communist or lazy or anti american. People are frustrated because the system has been bought and paid for by the wealthy, and everyone knows it. The evidence is literally everywhere.
And BTW, I own my own company, so I am pointing out that my generation is the f'ing problem.
