Bryce will never be the quarterback we hoped for, and it's time to accept his current limitations and build a game plan around them. This team was always going to drop 3 or 4 games this year; now, that number looks closer to 5 or 6. Throwing Tommy Carr into the fire and risking ruining his development won't change our reality. Bryce lacks the intuitive traits to be elite, but he will improve. We need to make the best of this transitional coaching year and look ahead.

Next year’s schedule is an absolute monster. Our knucklehead A.D. locked us into playing Texas and Oklahoma for four straight years and didn't try to change it, completely ignoring the fact that three-loss Big Ten teams won't make a 12-team playoff—especially with the conference expanding with some premier programs. This is the same A.D. who championed an idealistic "transformational" player-pay model over a realistic transactional one. It’s total malpractice.

By 2027, Michigan's playoff hopes may rely on the bracket expanding further.
Even with an expanded playoff, it won't be easy.
