My point was more he doesn’t really have a proven philosophy or history to like or dislike. He ran it with dampier past two years. QB coach at UVA they were throwing it all over the place.

yeah, i share your sentiment. Once Beck was confirmed I was totally onboard with the Whittingham hire. He took them from something like 99th(!?) in SP+ to 6th on offense.

Also, Beck is new to UM, but not to coaching under Whittingham, so maybe that minimizes some of the transition costs…
