I use it and think it's fantastic for a lot of things. However, for work, it's gotten stupid. I'm in a service industry, and almost every single RFP design and evaluation I've run into lately for clients is clearly shaped by AI.

The pricing templates are all the same, and they reflect a lack of knowledge of what it takes to price this stuff responsibly. I can't even compare them to what we used to get 3 years ago. When we ask the procurement teams for data we can use to plug the gaps and solution with some semblance of sanity, we're just told to submit our pricing by the deadline.

The professionals we're interacting with during the process are extremely junior and there's a language barrier. It seems there's been a deliberate movement to age-out or move out the folks who understand our industry and what the process should look like.

As a result, our sales teams are using AI to keep up with the ridiculous RFP frameworks and the subsequent unreasonable Q&A timelines. You're seriously giving us less than 48 hours to respond to requests for complete revamps to what we've sent you, or we'll be dropped for consideration? So now we have our AI agents negotiating with their AI agents.

The enshitification is real and unending. We used to be a proper country. Thanks, Kurt.
